happy birthday...

two years ago, in a burst of angst and despair over the outcome of the last presidential election, this blog was born. i've been reflecting on that journey as it was outlined here... the posts that survived, the ones that were posted and pulled. at first it was purely a political rant, a fact that embarrassed me since it reflected so little of what's truly important to me.

i don't know if, after two years of blogging, the body of work that is unglued america does in any cogent way describe me... but i do wonder. there are people out there who know me only as the viewfinder (a name left over from my first and long gone flickr account)... when i think of them, i wonder if they'd be surprised to meet the real me over lunch, to discover the ways in which the flesh and blood aligns or diverges from this virtual version.

anyway, with the election now behind us, i've been in a mind to think and speak politically -- but don't reall care to re-visit the subject on this page. thus i invite you -- those of you with an interest in political thought, even hopelessly skewed and naive political thought like mine -- to visit a new wrinkle in my blogging experiment, take me to your leader.

i hope you'll have a look now and then, and maybe even take a moment to agree, disagree, applaud, deride, or whatever best suits you.
