unglued america
I began this blog during the Bush debacle -- and my goodness, how America's insanity has deepened. Twenty years ago, nobody would have believed the madness and corruption of this age.
Truly, no ideas are too crazy to support
No science too settled to blindly refute
No amount of rich reckoned simply "rich enough"
no amount of poor reckoned as "too poor."
I don't want to simply complain,
but it's true that
nearly any solution is best begun
with a clear understanding
of the actual problem.
And here is the problem, with America.
Quite simply, it wasn't supposed to be like this.
The country was designed, intended by clear statement
in order to effect a clearly socialist ideal.
A group of socialist ideals, actually.
Which is to say,
the Framers designed ideals to support the highest good of society.
The highest priority of their magnum opus,
The constitution,
Was the greater social good.
Thus, government was meant to be
"of, by and for the people."
Not for business, not for corporations.
Thus, they left us a reference -- a simple primer
to make clear the goal of Independence.
They said, and I quote:
"We, the people, in order to:
- form a more perfect union
- establish justice
- ensure domestic tranquility
- provide common defense
- promote general welfare and
- secure the blessings of liberty
to ourselves and our posterity
Do Ordain And Establish
this Constitution, for the
United States of America."
Ask yourself, o kind reader,
which of these have been secured by and for us?
Union?
Justice?
Domestic tranquility?
Common defense?
General welfare?
Liberty?
Sustainability?
Clearly, no -- the Constitution that came out of that Preamble, at least, the government it forged, fails to secure even one of the stated ideals that were its inspiration.
We failed to support the American charter.
In its place, we built a malignancy
that has infected the entire world.
That's our tragedy.
After WWII
we were supposed to lead the world
into a new age of light.
Instead we chose darkness.
We still choose it, every day.
So let's scrap it, re-design, and start over.
