Reaching for that knife in my back...

Wow, you gotta expect that roller coaster to go up and down all swoopy and shit, so your stomach follows you from about five cars back, but you don't expect the car to go completely off the tracks, to unseat you entirely and put you under the fucking bus! Hell, if one expected that, we'd never ride in the first place.

Nevertheless, that's where I post from today -- straight under the goddamn fucking bus. What else can you say after such a wild ride except "Wow! I sure didn't see that coming!" If that sounds cavalier, well, it's always a good idea to make life a classroom, and take events for our edification. Thus, in case you're prompted to ask "Have I learned anything?"

Um, how about...

betrayal is a pisser... I've been on both sides of that line too often and too recently, and each side sucks.

trust is the flimsiest of constructs... it too often fails to bear the weight (were we prepared for its failure, we'd not be trusting in the first place), thus the fall is always awkward, the landing always hard.

regret is the ultimate waste of energy... The human condition is strictly a one-way road; what's done is done. What was is no more.
